Meet the Band

Gerry is a banjo, citern and guitar player with a wealth of experience. He is a native of Wales but now lives in Co.Antrim. He has played in a large variety of folk and traditional bands including the Wide Glide Band which he recorded the CD 'Last night at Home' He has also played the Folk Club circuit as a solo singer. He is also the bands caller who keeps everyone on the right track.

Pete is the bands manager and guitarist. He also plays the banjo, bouzouki , mandolin and fiddle. Most of Pete's instruments are made by his father. Pete has a background in contemporary music then traditional music took over. He plays a McIlroy guitar in DADGAD tuning.

Leslie Craig , is a very experienced musician from Co.Antrim. He has been playing the accordion for many years and has written numerous excellent tunes including the famous Road to Ballymac. Leslie is well known throughout the country playing at sessions, fleadhs, concerts and dances, both north and south and further afield. He plays a leading role within the band and arranges the tune sets.

Ciaran started playing the fiddle from about the age of 11 years old, having found an old 3/4 size fiddle under a bed in his grandparents house in Belfast. By the age of 16 he was already playing regular sessions in pubs right across Northern Ireland. After going to England as a student, Ciaran was a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Tradition Award in 1990.
Ciaran spent a number of years in England playing for ceilidhs,set dances and even morris sides. Since returning to Northern Ireland he has played regularly with the Counties Antrim and Derry Country Fiddlers Association and the Maine Valley Fiddle and Accordian Folk Club in Glarryford, where he met Leslie Craig, accordianista with the band.

The band is also joined by Colin a skilled bodhran player, drummer, guitarist, banjo player and singer. Colin also writes some of his own songs and is featured on out latest CD.
